Program Goal

  • To instill in each child a feeling of autonomy and positive self-concept.

  • To make good variety and quantity of materials suitable for creative expression and play.
  • To provide opportunities for language development that is vital at this developmental stage.

  • To introduce the curriculum areas of art, science, math, dramatic play, manipulative activities, language, and music.
  • To help develop self help skills in order to create a feeling of independence and confidence.
  • To encourage parent involvement by using tactful and honest communication while handling matters discretely.
  • To provide quality care, keeping an atmosphere conducive for learning.
  • To give each child personal attention (keeping the staff/child ratio set by DCFS) preventing under or over stimulation while allowing freedom of choice.
  • To develop an awareness of the five senses.
